I think you might get a better response on one of the other areas such as pets or homes and gardens etc

Housesitter here but I don’t charge. Do it in return for free accommodation in some lovely areas and homes and of course a pet fix. I sometimes get freebies such as food and drink, travel expenses or a gift on the home owners return.

I have insurance but no DBS check and have never been asked for a check.

I’m a member of a few websites where you can find sits.

Havent put too much detail incase you’re looking for paid sits.

I'm on a few FB sites and it feels like the market is flooded. Too many potential sitters, not enough people requiring the service.

I do pet-sitting as part of my dog-walking business, so I charge per night.

I'm fully insured and have a DBS but nobody has ever asked to see either. I'm also qualified in pet first aid.

I did it for several years via housesitters.co.uk. No insurance or DBS required (though I did have the latter) - it's more of an introduction site and it's up to you and the owners to sort out your own arrangements. I had many great sits, looking after cats, ducks, hens, alpacas (!) and sometimes just a house. Nice way to see new places and meet new people, though it is a responsibility.

Coming from other here.
had pet sitters come to me.They don’t get paid though I usually give a gift or a meal out and a bottle of wine or two. Used the housesitter site and now I normally contact them directly and give them first refusal and they usually are available and keen. They are lovely people and it’s been a real pleasure. I am lucky and live in area where people are often keen to come to though.
