Me, 8mo and 2.5yo and DH, travelling around East and South East Asia. We're 6 months in and love it. I work remotely and he's a stay at home parent.

Why not do it now when the parents can enjoy it and don't have to worry about home schooling?

Yep, you answered for me. The trip is more for us than the children. They probably won't remember much/any. The indirect benefit for them is having parents who are far more present, relaxed and cheery.

@Zoomzoomroom it sounds lovely. I can't imagine trying to homeschool kids in a foreign country. Why not travel now, save in lower COL countries and then give them an amazing childhood experience?
