Surely the whole point if you've 'given up dieting' is that there aren't any tips? You just, you know, eat what you like!

Diets don't work. It is lifestyle changes that do. Is that what you mean by giving up dieting?

What on earth is there to ask. You eat, isn't that just being normal?

I think any form of diet, like try to eat more veg, etc. is fundamental to healthy living. So to give up diet for good sounds like you are giving up on everything, and there are other issues that's affecting your life and mood. I hope you get the help you need.

And yet you’re still thinking about it to start this thread. Dieting is so ingrained that it never leaves you.

My question is what's the point of starting an ask me anything thread if you're not going to answer anything that anyone asksGrin

The message I've been getting lately from social media, is that any means of maintaining a calorie deficit will work to lose weight, and then "not overeating" maintains it. So it's mindful eating and portion control. Is that what you mean?

Did you have much weight to lose in your dieting phase?

To be fair it's "Ask me anything" There's nothing suggesting you'll get an answer.
