Hello everyone!

I wanted to answer any questions that you might have about Oxford University —applications, the actual doing of the degree, student life, etc. I’ve seen a few questions on here of the ‘is it worth it?’ ilk.

I'm a little confused. Is your degree about Elderly Parents?

Gardenista · 06/07/2022 21:20

which Subject did you read?

do you feel it was worth it?

I did a science degree in the 1990s and it opened professional doors definitely, do I was very surprised recently to hear my mother say age wished my sister and I had gone to another university and she felt Oxford wasn’t worth the stress/ toll on mental health.

OP may I suggest you ask for your post to be moved away from Elderly parents category into Chat for example. This category is for threads about caring for elderly parents and you won't necessarily get the traffic your looking for.

You're not doing very well at this 'move your thread to AMA' thing are you OP? Smile

whiteroseredrose · 06/07/2022 21:34

Have you got your results yet?

Bewitchedx · 06/07/2022 21:37

Hi, I’ve tried to have this thread removed for incorrect placement!

Glad to know we're amongst the crème de la crème

Bewitchedx · 06/07/2022 21:56

A common misconception. Oxford students are not the ‘crème de la crème’, they’re people who are good at the subjects that they have applied for.

I think we've all worked by now it's not the crème de la crème.

Ohrwurm · 06/07/2022 22:39

What did you study?

Did many students come from private schools?

Do you know what kind of support you get if you have children?
