Just popping on here to see if anyone would like to ask how my childhood ADHD brain worked/didn't work.

@Echobelly

Adults with ADHD can have trouble with emotional regulation just like kids. Must be hard on you to have two, one large one small, ADHDing at each other.

For your DH I’d recommend he has a look at the How To ADHD series on youtube, or if he might “hear” better from another male, google Rick Green. He also has videos and resources. I am also finding Remarkable amazingly (and surprisingly) effective at helping me stabilise my tendency to react to things that annoy or frustrate me. I very, very rarely pay for apps, they have to be truely spectacular, this one I’ve forked out for.

For the little bit, I failed my maths O level and failed the GCSE retakes I attempted. Badly. It’s boring. I can’t do boring. I really can’t do boring and hard. However, I got to level ten of Dragonbox 12+ algebra. And I loved every moment. It didn’t gamify algebra, it revealed the game that algebra is. They also have new games for geometry and something else. It’s worth looking into any high quality maths help that works by revealing the game within, because game layered over won’t hold attention in my experience.

Thanks @NebbiaZanzare - that's all really helpful. Will definitely look up Dragonbox for DS.

@NebbiaZanzare would you please be able to share a bit more about the app you found helpful? Is it called Remarkable? I'm struggling to find it...
