I have a bit of a dilemma. I have booked me and my daughter on a holiday. I am thinking of asking my friend B to come with her child. The only trouble is that I would get a lot of grief from my other friend D. I have took D on holiday before but I know it wouldn't go down with D if I took B. We are all friends but D has reported B to social services for stupid things (nothing ever come of this) and B didn't know it was D who did it. B is a single mum who does have it very hard and she wouldn't be able to afford a holiday herself. What would you do ??

I think that’s a really nice thing to do and if friend D is going to give you grief for spending time with your other friends then she sounds controlling to me. She might feel a little jealous but she should keep those feelings to herself as this is your holiday.

Go on your own. And you should have told B that D reported her. Dump D. Its all so jeremy kyle gaah

Why do you care what D thinks? She doesn't sound like someone worth being friends with.

ShyTown · 06/02/2020 02:45

D sounds like a complete psycho. Why are you on speaking terms with someone like that Confused
Take B if you want to or go on your own.

Take B, D needs to grow up and get a life

I like the idea of a mother-daughter holiday...especially if you've not gone on many with her alone. If you take a friend and her child, you probably won't spend much time with your own daughter who is the most important to you. Even if she quarrels with you about wanting to go with a friend, insist that it is going to be just the two of you...she'll give in eventually and there are so many activities the 2 of you can have fun doing together. Plan them together with her bringing up suggestions...you will probably learn a lot about your daughter that you didn't already know. Have fun!
@Bluerussian...please feel free to correct my grammar...I abhor poor grammar and it upsets when I can't figure out the proper grammar when I'm writing...Thank you! I envy your grammar skills...( This paragraph is entirely true.)

I would keep the holiday for just you and DD. Nobody else. I just couldn't be arsed with the politics of it all otherwise.

Thanks for advice .
To the ones who are taking the p**s out of my grammar I do sincerely apologise for not being as smart as you
