Hi,

I’ve just started knitting in the round on circular needles. I’m making hats to sell (to make a bit of pocket money on the side of mumming). But when I finish a row and go on to the next row there is a distinctive ridge, it looks as though th edge of the hat will have a bit lower than the rest. So basically the hat won’t be smoothly connected all the way around instead have a ridge where it was first joined.

I thought knitting on circular needles avoided the issue of seeing any kind of seem or join. What am I doing wrong?

I’ve taken a pic here.

Thanks a lot.
