What does Nominated mean?

Hi all. Don't know if I'm in the right section!

Wanted to know if anyone knows what Nominated means when it comes to bidding for homes? This is under 'Status'. It's recently changed to that from 'Live' and I just wonder if I will be housed quicker now that this has been changed. I have been accepted as homeless, I'm band B and my priority date is 4th of Dec 2018. I come 1-5 since my band went from a D to a B but no luck so far. Where I'm living at the moment (a hostel) is effecting my mental health extremely and I would just like a proper home that I can relax in.
