Do you fancy any of the other teachers?

Blueandredandblue · 20/08/2019 19:10

Do you talk about the parents and have you been forewarned about any?

SleepingStandingUp · 20/08/2019 19:12

How hard is that first year of training and is it doable with a family iyo?

coralpig · 20/08/2019 23:06

Fancying other teachers
Nope

Do you talk about parents and have you been forwarned?

Yes - We do discuss these in the staff room and some poor children’s parents are notorious. There are only one or two who are so bad that we are warned not to speak to without other senior teachers being present. Some can be abusive.

How hard is the first year?

It can take over but I found the newly qualified year easier than the training year when balancing university and assignments with placement. When newly qualified I feel that I started to get more of a work life balance.

What subject do you teach?

How much preparation do you need to do for each lesson?

Farrowandbrawl · 22/08/2019 19:13

How do you manage to work 26 hours per day? I understand this is the minimum teachers work

MrsKittyFane1 · 25/08/2019 18:49

How many more years do you think you'll do?! 😄

Unusualllly · 25/08/2019 19:00

Is a 8am-4pm realistic for you? I know two teachers who do this and take no work home, then others who work 7am-6pm then a couple of hours every night as well.

Did you pass the maths and English competency test first time?

Sunshineglitterandbubbles · 29/08/2019 14:30

What do you think about school uniform?

Eg: would you rather not enforce a strict dress code..or do you think strict dress codes are necessary and beneficial?
