My son turned 16 in December and I was signed up as his appointee two months before in preparation for PIP.

His PIP claim was successful so I manage this money for him.

@DuckWillow - What is your DS diagnosis? I'm concerned because as my DS has Aspergers and as such, is not really self aware, if that makes sense. Is the PIP paperwork any different to DLA? How did your DS cope, if he had to attend an appointment?

Forgive me I don’t know the whole circumstances etc, but do you have the conversation ( if he is verbal) with him regarding his finances and how you decide what the money is spent on etc.
Does it cause conflict, and how do you cope with this?
Do you have any advice or tips.
