I'm not, but just wanted to say I am so sorry to hear this and hope you are OK.

Thanks

Not me, but DH.
How are you doing now? 💐
Do you have less time for annoying people or things now?

I'm doing OK I think.
I've had the all clear but need surveillance for 5 years so the worry is still ongoing.
I have a routine mammogram today and that has brought up many emotions as my cancer was discovered by a routine blood test.
I struggle with what to say when people almost brush it under the carpet, Insinuating it's over!
No it bloody well isn't over and yes I know I look amazing but I side I'm really struggling!!!!!

I hope the mammogram goes well.

I know what you mean, people think it's all over but actually it's been a huge shake to the foundations.
I'm actually a bit sad at how some of our friends reacted at the time, I think less of a few people (and more of others so it balances out!).

I think some people struggle with what to say as they don't want to put their foot in it.

Have you accessed any counselling about how you're feeling now?

What were your symptoms? What stage was it at?

Glad you're ok now, and long may it stay that way Flowers

Hitthe yes I have. I've had some hypnotherapy and self referred for CBT. I'm also having a phone appointment with my GP after another blood test so will mention it to her.
I think that the main thing is I recognise I need some help and actively seeking it 💐
Lemon I didn't have any! None. Zilch. Nadal!
When we moved house I moved doctors. They did a simple blood test. ECG and BP monitor

The blood test showed I was anaemic so prescribed me iron tablets and I was asked to do a faecle sample which showed positive for blood so that set me on the 14 day pathway.
Lots of tests followed and I was diagnosed with Colon cancer in February. 💐

What was / would have been most helpful to you from friends during or after treatment?

Had you noticed blood in your poo or was it only detectable in the lab work?

it Some friends almost disappeared, some stepped up and we're fantastic.
It really does show who your friends are, but just a simple text or call just to keep in touch is nice. Still being asked to do things.

Lost I'd not noticed anything at all.

Had you had any pain ?
I’m only asking and have had significant issues with anaemia and no known cause for a while now and pain on l side but no cause found I have no bleeding but somethings not right and it’s not being taken seriously
Maybe I should go back and ask for a sample to be tested

I didn't have any pain whatsoever. It was a total shock. X
