I didn't get paid very much because I worked for a company, from home, plus I did it in my spare time.
The longer I kept people talking, the more I earned, but for me it was just about £100 a week. (15+ years ago)

I had someone who wanted me to tell him how I would cut his balls off with a pair of scissors and wear them as earrings, so that was one of the stranger ones, but there are plenty more.

I would say the most common (and revolting) thing was men who would say they had a beautiful wife, but an even more beautiful step daughter.
Possibly 60-70 percent of calls were along those lines.

I didn't do my ironing whilst chatting, but would sometimes be quietly dusting or sorting out a drawer or something.

I got into it through someone who knew someone that did it.
They gave me the number, I phoned up and had a chat and that was it.

I had quite a few regulars, I suppose something just clicked between us, and I also had men that literally phoned up just for a chat.

Yes, there were quite often times when I had to stop myself giggling, but also times when I bloody hated men!

The most giggle worthy was someone who liked to hear me fart, or at least try to.

Some calls ended literally as soon as the guy heard my voice!
Not because my voice is so sexy, but because they have to listen to a fair amount of April before getting through to a real girl, and the anticipation had been part of their turn on.

It was quite rare for the men to ever speak about themselves; they have in mind what they want to talk about and direct the conversation to the subject 'in hand'.
