I have bipolar disorder ask me anything

How long have you been diagnosed? How long has it affected you?

Have you lost family or friends who maybe don't understand?

Do you have an a diagnosis? How did you get it?

I have (so im told) BPD and some of the traits are similar it would appear.

Do you have medication?

Do you have bipolar 1 or 2? Do you take medication for it?

Sorry all for late reply. I have had mental health issues for twelve years diagnosed in 2017. I take quetiapine sertraline lamotrigine pericyazine for it and I'm more stable I have type 2.

Diagnosis was a series of appointments with a psychiatrist but also it was fairly obvious by how I'd been for a few years.

My dad doesn't want or choose to understand and thinks mental health doesn't really exist. It's hard but that's his choice. I have an amazing husband and family otherwise
