What drugs?

CharleyFarleyy · 26/12/2018 15:59

What was it that made you give up? Did you do it by your self or through rehab?

fourthusernamebutwhoscounting · 26/12/2018 15:59

Congratulations!

luckynot · 26/12/2018 16:00

Cocaine and MDMA mainly. But was also doing Ketamine, Xanax, Oxycodone, M-Kat and Nitrus oxide. Codeine and tramadol sometimes.

I knew that enough was enough. It was ruining my life and my brain. I finally did it myself this time last year after several attempts

I am always genuinely interested and amazed by people who have managed to give up drugs. Well done and congrats on the baby.

Have you ever read dreamseller? It's a good book by a drug addict trying to recover.

userxx · 26/12/2018 16:03

Why Xanax - doesn't it just make you sleepy?

luckynot · 26/12/2018 16:05

Charley thanks so much. No I haven't read it - I'll search for it on amazon now.

luckynot · 26/12/2018 16:06

Xanax does make you sleepy, it's the most debilitating out of all of the drugs I've taken. If you fight through to immense urge to go to sleep then it has different effects

How much were you spending on drugs? And how did you avoid heroin?

Nanalisa60 · 26/12/2018 16:20

Well done you!! You have turned your life around you should be very proud of your self!!

Gribbie · 26/12/2018 16:23

We’re you taking drugs while pregnant or had you stoped?

Atalune · 26/12/2018 16:23

What does Xanax do? Also how did you get your hands on it, I thought it was American?

luckynot · 26/12/2018 16:24

Purple all things considered, not that much. The majority of it I got for free. I would probably spend £300ish on it a month.

luckynot · 26/12/2018 16:25

Nana thank you!

Gribbie I had stopped about a month before I found out that I was pregnant, maybe a bit less.

Atalune it turns you into a zombie really. It depends on how much you take. Taking a quarter you feel quite sleepy and dopey but still very much able to function but if you are taking one or more then the next 24 hours + are out of the window. It's hard to describe. You feel very relaxed, sleepy, sometimes euphoric, you just feel very "nice". It messes you up for days after, though. It is a very American thing but there's a lot of it in the UK now, a lot of people I knew were sourcing it from the deep/dark web. People sell it for £5 per tablet.

Why did you start taking drugs?

luckynot · 26/12/2018 16:37

Judge I used to smoke quite a lot of cannabis and then stopped. My friends were taking MDMA and asked me to join them, I pretended to take it because I was scared. The next time they asked me to join them I was feeling very down/suicidal so didn't really care what happened to me so I took it on a whim and ended up loving it. It was the best feeling I'd ever felt.

I don’t have questions but well done, wish you a happy healthy future :)

JudgeRindersMinder · 26/12/2018 16:39

Do you feel better now you’ve stopped? Mentally I mean? You’ve done really well to get and stay off them-well done x

luckynot · 26/12/2018 16:41

MrsFox thank you x

Judge I feel SO much better. But definitely different than before, mentally it's challenging and I have PND too. I have PTSD from a "bad trip" that I had. I'm not sure if I'll ever feel the same. But yes, a lot better mentally and more able to make sensible decisions.
