If you laser cool a substance that is made of bosons (as opposed to fermions) down to a temperature almost at absolute zero you get all the particles vibrating at the same wavelength (obviously this wouldn't work with fermions because they cannot occupy the same energy state as one another).

Also the statistical description of the behaviour of a Bose Einstein condensate (which is what that is) is oddly also a good approximation of the behaviour of some networks.
