How is Brexit being covered in the Irish press? What do you (personally- not asking you to speak for the entire RoI!) feel about how the UK government is dealing with the Northern Ireland aspect of it?

Oh god honestly politics is not my thing at all 😭 I don’t know anyone (including myself who thinks it would be beneficial for any other reason than nostalgia to have NI back as such. But it will effect us in terms of trade for sure I think. How the border will be policed unnerves me a bit too. Again I really have my head in the sand when it comes to this I suppose (off I go to study the matter further 🤣)

Haha, thats OK. I was just curious if it was a hot topic abroad, and RoI is the only EU country that shares a border (and a whole lot of history on that border) with the UK.

What do you think about the large numbers of UK residents claiming Irish passports or Irish citizenship

Do you know my dad, he's well known in his village as the English man.

I'm joking obviously, I was surprised when he gave me his new address and he didn't have a postcode, then he said just putting his name on and the village would be enough anyway lol
