Hi

I'm booked in first thing so at half eight I will be having the actual operation.

I'm a little nervous. Mainly about pain a management.

I've wanted to do this for 20 years.

Ask me anything. I probably won't be able to answer till later on today.

Hope you're recovering well OP Flowers

Why have you done this?

One side was a cup bigger Than the other as I fell when I was a child And my left breast didn't develop properly.

I was quite small for my frame also and I always felt self conscious about how I looked.

I've had the op now.

Totally horrendous experience.

Crap aftercare and I ended up with an infection on one side. I had a drain for two weeks sewn into me. Antibiotics for four weeks.

I'm recovered now thankfully. The surgeon wasn't sure he could save the implant for a couple of weeks. The scarring is quite bad in the part where your boob folds.

But I'm ok now and it is what it is.

Don't know why I have only just seen your response. It didn't send me a notification or anything.

Sorry it was such a difficult experience, especially after wanting it for so long! Now you've had some time to recover, are you glad you went ahead?

Unfortunately your experience illustrates the risk of cosmetic surgery. It's still surgery, often creating a major wound that has to heal. Hope things get better for you now.

Totally healed now.

What was frightening was that I spent months researching surgeons.

Two weeks after the op I called and asked for someone to have a look at my wound as I didn't feel it was right.

Told to clean with salt water and was fine (told it was all ok over the phone).

The wound got bigger daily and I had to literally beg for an appointment.

I went back a week later and was cut open and literally four mugs of infection flowed out of me. Weeks then of the drain, antiobiotics, worry. In a week it went from "it won't be infected to I'm not sure I can save the implant".

But every little twinge and I'm panicking thinking something is wrong again.

It's hard for me to say if I'd of still done it given what I know now.
