^The NHS is amazing, truly saved my life. I doubt I’d still be here if they hadn’t have given me the surgery.

OP that's amazing. I'm nearly 19 & really struggling with the thought of losing & mostly following a plan. Joined a gym though & doing v gentle exercise to get into the habit. You're an inspiration.

You've said ask me anything you wish so here goes: did you and your husband still have a sexual relationship when you were at your heaviest? Sorry if that's too intrusive and I understand if you don't want to answer.

And congratulations on what you've achieved 👍.

I’ve always wanted to ask someone who was very big this question - how much money did you spend on food to be able to get that big? And also did you eat/graze all day?
Sorry I really hope that doesn’t come across as rude, as someone who struggles to gain and maintain and also who has to budget down to the penny I just can never fathom how anyone could both afford to be so big and exactly how much eating it would take

Well done on the weight loss, it’s an amazing amount FlowersWine

did you and your husband still have a sexual relationship when you were at your heaviest?

Hardly, he completely lost any interest in me, though would still attempt out of a sort of feeling of duty towards me, I think.

I didn’t actually spend a lot on food, mostly ate plain pasta with cheese and bread . Cheap value biscuits and crisps. Lots of 19p cola.

Will you get the skin removed? How much is that estimated to weigh?

Congratulations and well done by the way

Is the sleeve permanent

MargotLovedTom1 · 15/09/2018 00:06

Thanks for answering Half - I'm pleased you're both much happier now Smile.

The sleeve is permanent, it’s a procedure that removes 2/3rds of the stomach.

I won’t be getting skin removed unless it starts to me problems like infection. Part of the reason I don’t want to weigh 9 stone is because the skin would be incredibly loose and have high risk of infection due to it being difficult to keep clean.

And thank you for the kind words.

Do you miss not being able to eat as much?

Do you miss not being able to eat as much?

Only my favourite meal makes me feel that way, I rarely have it so I don’t tempt myself to push my sleeve. I’m quite satisfied with only being able to eat small amounts of everything else.

How does this work? Pre op you would eat a whole pizza plus chips and post op your brain would be happy to eat only half that?
