How do you find living in quarters?

They hate anything to do with anyone saying they're someone's spouse on here. Just saying - be prepared for the whole "don't you have an identity of your own?" crap. Urgh. Noone's allowed to be married to someone with a job, lol.

Anyway - how do you find it, being apart for so long? My friend's ex is with a navy guy - he's away for half a year at a time, it seems quite hard for her. Do you have a good support network? Can you talk to him/her much?

@Theresnodisneyending out of 100 of posts this is the only one about my D/H. I'm very wary of mentioning it because posters always turn my problem into my D/H cheating!! No matter what my post was initially about.

My dh is in the forces too, I find it ok most of the time but also looking forwards to when he leaves so we don't have someone else dictating our lives

Your answers are a bit closed how about 'I've never lived on MQs but I've known other wives who find them...'

Struggling with this really, as my husband was forces, I did my job, stayed in the U.K., he was not for months on end, I raised my daughter alone for the periods he was away, until he came out, carried on with my full time job, had a life, wasn't sitting waiting for him to come out, he did so due to the impact on our child, not me, I'm not seeing the issue?

And mess dos were drunken.
