Where do you work?

Blinkatme182 · 17/08/2018 19:44

Typically I can't disclose that information!

I didn't mean the exact location! I meant are you retail or airport or what?

Blinkatme182 · 17/08/2018 21:55

That would make sense sorry!

I work within a specialist commercial office environment 🙂

Do you find men (customers/clients) react better to you than they do men doing the same job? I work in a function hall and ime men are far more compliant when asked to do something by a woman!

Blinkatme182 · 18/08/2018 08:34

I think you are spot on @DownAndUnder men are indeed much more compliant.

I must admit I do use the fact that I am a female to my advantage in specific situations. I.E turn on the charm with the difficult ones!

However I also see the other side from males where i get the "you are only a little woman what are you going to do" Which is hard especially when I have worked in places with no Panic Button.

I also tend to "get away" with more in that I can joke with people in a way my male colleagues would get backlash for. E.G During Fire Alarm drills I tend to yell something like "Come on get a move on we are losing against the other buildings" and with a nice big 😃 people play along as opposed to complaining about having attitude.

Have you experienced similar @DownAndUnder?

OK - so what does that involve and how much do you get paid?
