proposal with candles

hi guys! I have been asked to arrange a proposal for a friend.
he's taking his OH up in a helicopter and wants me to spell out will you marry me with candles. they're gonna hover at around 100 feet for her to look out and see. I have no idea how big i should make the lettering or how many candles i need .. help.. ideas?!

I’m not sure if candle light will be strong enough from 100 feet up. You could experiment with other light sources
Also won’t the battered wind from the helicopter blow all the candles out?

Use electric ones. They'll need to be about 10ft high though. That's a lot of candles!

I'd suggest getting it made up on sheets of white paper and using that as a template for the candles - you'll need fewer candles and it'll be easier to see what you are doing. Such large letters will be difficult to ensure they a legible from a distance!

Electric ones aren't bright at all. Is he set on the idea?
