how long have you been friends?
how long have they been going out?

professionalplayer · 29/07/2018 20:55

We have been friends for about 11/12 years. They have been together just under 10.

Are you going to act on it?

professionalplayer · 29/07/2018 20:57

@BikeRunSki

Definitely not!

Have you been attracted to him the whole time? Do you find yourself getting annoyed with your friend if she complains about him?

DickTERFin · 29/07/2018 20:59

Does your friend know?
Does it make it awkward to be in her company?

tangoed2 · 29/07/2018 20:59

Do you think he fancy's you back?

Tinseltower · 29/07/2018 20:59

Do you flirt with him?

BroomstickOfLove · 29/07/2018 21:00

Surely it's not that unusual. I quite fancy my best friend's husband - my friend and I have similar tastes in many things and that includes men. It's not a big deal. He's her husband and I'm happy with mine. It's never even occurred to me that this is something out of the ordinary. I think she has very good taste.

Or when you say you fancy him, do you mean that you have actual intentions to make a move on him?

ReggieKrayDoYouKnowMyName · 29/07/2018 21:00

Have you considered ending the friendship over it?

professionalplayer · 29/07/2018 21:02

@causeimunderyourspell

Yes, including before they got together (I knew him before) but on and off.
She doesn’t really complain about him much, but no I wouldn’t!

@DickTERFin

She suspected at one point, but no I wouldn’t say she does know. It’s not awkward to be with her, we are best friends!

@tangoed2

No but is very fond of me and somewhat flirty, which makes it hard.

Does he know? Is it mutual?

I found myself in a position where I fancied my friend's husband, and he definitely fancied me, so we ended up doing this weird dance around each other, trying to avoid each other. Nothing ever said, but very clear to me what was happening.

professionalplayer · 29/07/2018 21:12

@tinseltower

I do flirt with him I would say, but he is flirty so makes it natural. I wouldn’t be overtly flirty with him though, as my best friend is always there.

@BroomsticksofLove

No I am not going to make a move on him.

@Reggie

No, she is one of my best friends!

@Notquiterichenough

I would say yes he does sort of know, he sometimes makes vague jokes about it, but we haven’t spoken about it openly.

Sorry more! If they broke up - would you make a move? Sounds like he possibly would!

Do you feel any jealousy whatsoever that he's with her instead of you?

Did she know you fancied him before they got together?

professionalplayer · 29/07/2018 23:54

@cause

If they broke up... firstly I really don’t think that would ever happen! But secondly, unless for some reason she was out of my life, no I wouldn’t make a move as it would ruin my friendship with her. If for some reason she was totally out of the equation, then maybe.

I guess to an extent I am jealous yes!

I don’t think she did, although perhaps I might have mentioned it, but she was more in love with him than me before they got together, so it wouldn’t have really registered to her!
