How much tax do you pay on your second job ? Is it 20% ? I'm starting a second job , dosent pay very much but I'm worried the 20% ( if it is that ) is going to cripple me

Vanillamanilla - yes 20% on second job. Sometimes I am tired but I'm not physically exhausted.

I have three jobs because firstly i was bored and secondly I liked the extra income to be able to pay down my mortgage quicker.

Yep I feel like i have a life, more so now than when I just had one job!

How do your hours work? Are all your employers aware that you have other employment?

I used to have three jobs- did it to pay off debts/overdraft, and it was fantastic to become debt free, and actually build up savings.

Vanilla- your tax is based on overall income, so it will depend what you earn from job one. People with more than one job are usually on self-assessment.

My hours are:

FT Job 8am-4pm Monday - friday
PT Job 1 4.30pm - 7.30/8pm
PT Job 2 9pm - 11pm (sometimes til midnight if its really busy)

Yes all employers are aware of other jobs but there's no conflict of interest as completely different areas.

sorry forgot to include weekends!

Weekend hours are as and when needed so could be all day on one of them or just a few hours for both - depending on when I'm needed.

I presume you to not have children?

How long do you think you can keep this up?

I eat breakfast before i leave home, lunch in FT job and then evening meal i eat around 8.30. Slowcooker is a god send!

I have no idea how long I can keep it up for but willing to keep going for as long as i can!

I have two, one FT and one PT and pay basic rate on the PT one
Work for a prestige car brand FT and part time as home carer/support worker

Do you ever have to turn down overtime from one job because it conflicts with the hours of another?
