I was diagnosed at 27 with stage 3 cervical cancer, 12 months after a clear smear test, I am now 30, in remission, as well as the menopause, ask me anything, or even offer advice for the dreaded change!

any answers will be given from a subject experience, not a professional point a view unless it was information provided to me by a professional in which I will clearly state either way.

How did you find out you had cancer? What symptoms did you have!

@wishicouldsleep

I went to my GP after my DH urged me to go (he had a gut feeling) as I had a small amount of spot bleeding after intercourse, but as I was due on my period in a few days, I thought nothing of it.
my GP thought I a large number of capillaries on my cervix and needed to be cortorised, her referred me to Gynae unit and within 2 weeks I was being examined and the following week I was having a biopsy on Christmas Eve. A little over two weeks later 5th jan i was diagnosed, it was all very quick.

after I was diagnosed I read up on cervical cancer and found I had many more of the signs and symptoms for some time such as aching back, weight loss, fatigue, however, I had recently changed jobs and thought the symptoms were due to that at the time and my days had become longer so put those symptoms down to adjusting to new job and routine.
