I'm a pharmacist who now teaches student pharmacists. As a university lecturer and personal tutor, I can answer your uni and higher education questions - for yourself or for any DSs and DDs off to uni in September :)

would you encourage your own DC to become pharmacists?

Only if that's what they wanted to do and non of them do ! LOL. They are all a lot more creative than me and my DD wants to do fashion and DS (15) wants to do drama. Perhaps DS (12) Will do something 'sciencey' but he's also very arty. I don't know how our DC because so creative because it's not from me or my DH that's for sure !

I wanted to do pharmacy back in the olden day. Didn’t get the points 😔

noseoftralee - If you still fancy it, people start come in at all ages these days thanks to access courses and foundation years etc. More mature students now than ever before. (I know of a lady on a BSc Nutrition course who is 64!)
