House on for over two months - one viewing!! One!! Neighbours whose house is also up experiencing same (both with same local agent). Both ideal first time buyers houses, fairly modern, not needing any work, very close to local schools, not overpriced.

What should I be asking agent to do? It's advertised on the usual online places. Would something like an open viewing help? Getting desperate for more viewings!! Thanks :)

gizmosslave · 16/07/2018 20:32

@librarylover53 have they mailed it out etc?
Boards out the front?
On rightmove?

If you want send me a link and I’ll have a look at the listing. It could be they could change that.

Yes to all of these (except rightmove - Im in Northern Ireland). I'll pm you a link to the listing if that's ok?

gizmosslave · 16/07/2018 20:55

How far below asking price would you consider a cheeky offer?

gizmosslave · 16/07/2018 21:25

@3boys3dogshelp it all depends on the house/ time of year and market really!

3boys3dogshelp · 16/07/2018 21:36

Haha! I suppose it does!

Monkeypuzzle32 · 17/07/2018 09:04

Thanks Gizmo, I always have been interested in being an EA even though you get slated ALOT!

unadventuretime · 17/07/2018 11:36

What aspects of houses are most unpopular with/off putting to buyers?

Is there such a thing as an unsellable house or will anything go if it is priced cheaply enough?

springmachine · 17/07/2018 11:39

Are you concerned about the new online only estate agents that are popping up?

springmachine · 17/07/2018 11:42

Every viewing of rental properties a few years ago I was told there were others interested and I was advised to snap them up quickly.

I chose one and watched Rightmove over the next few months to see that none of the others were snapped up.

Is it common practise to pretend there is interest in a property when there isn't?

callymarch · 27/07/2018 09:24

im getting divorced and have had my house valued. how do i estimate the cost of selling the property, presumably to include solicitors fees and estate agents fees?
