What's the most disgusting thing that you (or another staff member) has ever found or witnessed in a changing room?

yawning801 · 15/07/2018 19:01

How do you cope with so many people?

MrStarkIDontFeelSoGood · 15/07/2018 19:02

What's the worst condition return you've had?

Do they bring out all the old unsold crap for sales from YEARS ago?

Did the worry about the factory workers conditions get to you? (I shop there for certain items and it does me)

Was shoplifting as rife as it is reported to be?

I kid you not we have found used tampons under the table of folded t shirts (security cameras also saw) and that we found used nappies and sanitary towels. I worked there from 2013-2016.

I actually worked on womenswear but if you got called for the tills you had to go (if you hear an announcement that 'all till-trained staff to the ground floor tills), then you had to go. The people didn't bother me as such, there was a lot and that didn't really phase me, what did phase me, however, was dealing with people on a really busy day (black market or a Saturday) and your section not being finished and thus getting into trouble, as if you'd been slacking.

There's a LOT of shoplifting. If a person did it a few times, their picture was put up behind the customer service desk where the tannoy is and you weren't allowed to serve them, as they'd try and exchange items that they stole.

Funnily enough, we never had any detectors, but the security guards were really good.

You'd get people trying to return things such as underwear or swimsuits without the sticky label (we'd never accept them back) or skid marks/foundation marks etc. Yuck Hmm

The ethics of it did bother me however Primark are part of the ETI, which admittedly I didn't know much about but it sounded legit so I didn't think about it much.

The sales; when I was there, there was never anything in the stockroom from years ago, but things that had been there 9-12 months were put on sale unless it was popular items such as black tshirts Smile

I hated working for Primark, my manager referred to me as a little girl at 21 years of age.
