A combination of reasons. I didn't start out making the decision, I decided about a year in, that it would be a long term situation.

I have gone years without, there was no desire.

At one stage I had a crush on someone and there was a desire. The crush went and so did the desire.

I don't know, it depends.

Early 40s.

Why did you decide for it to be a longterm situation?

Many reasons.

Avoiding pregnancy.

Avoiding placing us in a situation that could hurt myself or my children again.

I was brought up a RC, I didn't follow the teaching of Jesus which lead me to a disaster of a marriage. My faith helped me survive.

Yes.

There is now, it didn't begin that way.
