I feel like I'm cheating slightly as I've already done one about my other job but happy to answer any questions about botox, fillers, chemical peels and medical microneedling! (I will not treat anyone that contacts me through mumsnet or give out my business name!)

Mum - if it helps I have cholinergic urticaria, dermographism and neutropenia and I've been fine with it. I checked with my haematologist first of course

Ollivander84 · 12/07/2018 22:07

fruit - ah ok! I'm up north if it makes a difference

SequinsOnEverything · 12/07/2018 22:09

I have a fairly persistent twitch under one eye, could botox help with this kind of thing?

JacintaJones · 12/07/2018 22:09

I have a couple of friends (medics) who do two areas for 160 so would say 99 is cheap too.
Also up North.

userxx · 12/07/2018 22:10

£99 is too cheap and I'm up north also.

fruitcider · 12/07/2018 22:11

Where and how do you advertise?
How old are you?

And thanks for answering all the questions!

I advertise on Facebook, insta mainly. I'm in my mid 30s.

I'm perfectly happy with the clinic, and the doctor is great, was just curious about the price! It was perfect last time she did it and she was very conscious of what I wanted, as well as asking what type of neutropenia I have when some people don't even know what it is Grin

2 areas at a minimum requires 90 units. A vial only holds 125. Most people need 130+ units for 2 areas, 2 vials costs more than £99. There's a chance they are splitting vials, which is illegal because it's a prescription only medicine.

fruit - will PM you

fruitcider · 12/07/2018 22:14

In your experience, do your clients ever report any mental health improvements when you inject in that spot?

It certainly improves my mental health! I feel far less stressed, I think because I can't frown as hard.

It would depend on where abouts it is and what muscle causes it, if it's caused by the orbicularis oculi in the lateral part it could well help as botox disconnects signals between the nerve and the muscle.

Do you just micro needle in the face or do you do body treatments for stretch marks/scars too?

No I treat anywhere and everywhere that has scars or stretch marks, it works really well too though up to 6 sessions are needed.

Do you know of any treatment for bags/dark circles under eyes? Had them since DS was born!! Would really be looking for something non-surgical.

Tear trough filler is an excellent treatment for this!

Also a nurse and have thought of doing this, did it cost a lot to complete the training?

PlasterdBasterd · 12/07/2018 22:30

I've heard that Botox is now being used more than filler to give a lift to lower face "jowls". Do you see this trend happening more, my friend has a cosmetic surgeon who she sees and he is now recommending this as a cheaper and more effective treatment. Also skin booster injections seem to be a new trend, do you use them, and how effective are the results ?
TIA.

Dontbuymesocks · 12/07/2018 22:33

I’d love tear trough filler but am scared of the pain! How painful/uncomfortable is it?

alphajuliet123 · 12/07/2018 22:33

I had it a week ago and not noticed much difference. How long should I wait before speaking to the nurse again, and when people talk about having a top-up is it much cheaper?

awishes · 12/07/2018 22:35

Does micro needling work for old acne scars

tangoed2 · 12/07/2018 22:58

Thanks @fruitcider

ilovetomatoes · 12/07/2018 23:07

I’m going to have it for the first time on Monday. What questions should I be asking? Anything to look out for? Thanks!

Loyaultemelie · 12/07/2018 23:15

Thanks Fruitcider

HollowTalk · 12/07/2018 23:19

The famous doctor who trained you - is she the doctor who was on The Apprentice?

fruitcider · 13/07/2018 07:32

I'll try and break the costs down for you.

Foundation weekend - £1300
Mentoring - £1000
Advanced lip master class - £800
Advanced fillers and toxins £2400
Microneedling and peels £800
First stock equipment order £1000
Insurance £600

So my set up costs this year have been about £8000. The initial £4000 I bought on interest free credit cards, repaid them and used them again, I've now paid them back and I'm at a point where I can order stock without credit cards and still have some money in the bank. But apparently I've been really lucky, my business has grown quite quickly.
