Do you feature your children (if you have any)?

How many followers do you have?

DrivingMyBumperCar · 12/07/2018 18:00

@TheHumanMothboy No more than normal, I'd hope

@Rockandrollwithit sometimes. A lot less since I started making money from it, I'm very aware that I don't want to 'exploit' them. However, I love posting about my life as a Mum and they are an intrinsic part of that.

Do you tell the truth?

Report
DrivingMyBumperCar · 12/07/2018 18:03

@Brendatheblender I don't want to out myself so vaguely, around 50k altogether on social media and around 70k monthly to my blog

Do you think the term ‘Influencer’ is a bit wanky?

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 12/07/2018 18:04

Do you declare all ads/collaborations etc clearly?

Do you pretend to be a mental health "expert" whilst not being a suitably qualified and insured health care professional?

@SmellMyBeads I wouldn't feel like there was much point in doing it if I didn't tell the truth. I'm not one of those people who always has a perfect home/kids/life, but then again I don't exaggerate stuff to feel relatable. I hope I'm just 'normal' (whatever that means)

What would your job be if Instagram shut down tomorrow?

Report
DrivingMyBumperCar · 12/07/2018 18:06

@HeyDolly YES. This is one of the first things I've used it because it makes me want to sick in my mouth

Do you think your children might resent you one day for the exposure you give them now? I assume you don’t have teenagers...

Haha OP you are SUPER brave. Grin do you enjoy doing what you do? Is it your only income? x

@Gobbolinothewitchscat
I absolutely declare. I've been following the influencers threads with interest (as pretty much all of us have) and have learned a thing or two about the ASA rules. I've always wanted to be clear though, I would hate to feel like I'm misleading people

@Gobbolinothewitchscat and god no. I've had (and written about) my own experiences of mental health but am in no way qualified to advise anyone else on the subject

@Earthmoon What is one of your favourite reply received from one of your subscribers/ fans.

I think that I have helped them in some way, that the things I've written or shared has had an effect on their life. Don't get me wrong, I'm small time compared to some, but I started doing it for the human connection and that's why I continue (that and the freedom it gives me to work around my kids!). If I didn't have that connection I'd stop.
