I have 3 dc with additional needs AMA

One has Aspergers syndrome, one has physical disabilities and the other had learning difficulties and various health problems.

At what age did you realise they may need extra help?

Do you feel you've been dealt a really unfair hand in life?

How do you cope?!

12 year old was 2, 10 year old was 3 months and 5 year old I was 20 weeks pregnant

Do you feel you've been dealt a really unfair hand in life?
Sometimes, depends really. If I'm cleaning poo off the floor or if I focus too much on what "normal" families are doing that we can't then yes. When my 12 and 10 year old are working together to help each other (12 year old will push 10 year old's wheelchair and 10 year old will help 12 year old with making friends/social stuff) and the 5 year old is charming everyone he meets then I feel very lucky.

How do you cope?!
With anti-depressants and ben and jerry's!
