Cooking in the Salter Dual EK4750BLK 7.4L Air Fryer: how easy is it to use?
Overall, I found the Salter EK4750BLK fairly easy to use, though there’s definitely a bit of room for improvement. The touchscreen control panel is well laid out, with clear ‘1’ and ‘2’ buttons for the separate baskets, plus intuitive icons for time and temperature settings. The six cooking modes are written out, so it’s simply a case of selecting the one you want (unsurprisingly, I used ‘Air fry’ the most during testing!), tweaking the time and temperature if needed, and hitting the play/pause button.
Like Ninja air fryers, there are no presets for specific foods, but I actually prefer setting the time and temperature myself for more flexibility, so this wasn’t an issue for me.
I loved the sync feature; this was ideal when cooking meat in one basket and chips or vegetables in the other, as I could cook each side on different temperatures and timings and have everything ready to serve up at the same time. That said, I initially found it a bit confusing—the two timers were formatted differently on each side, making me question whether the basket was showing minutes or seconds! Thankfully, once I hit start, both displays aligned, so it was only a minor issue initially.
The match function was also handy for copying settings between baskets, but I found it slightly annoying that you have to press ‘Match’ first, then select the time and temperature for both sides. It would have been more intuitive to set one basket and then copy the settings across.
The biggest standout, though, is how quiet this air fryer is—it’s the least noisy model I’ve tested so far. While the fan still makes a gentle whirring sound (as expected with air frying), it’s far less intrusive than many alternatives, making it great for open-plan living. Even the alert beeps are more subtle compared to other models.
My only real gripe, aside from the minor issues with match and sync, is that once you’ve hit play, there’s no way to completely stop or reset the air fryer. You can pause it or adjust the time, but even pressing the on/off button doesn’t fully reset it—it just picks up where it left off, which can be a bit frustrating.

Salter EK4750BLK Dual Air Fryer performance: how were the results?
The results were great! I cooked a range of food in the air fryer, including frozen chips, vegetables, chicken breasts, sausages, pies, potatoes, plus more, so I could test out its performance on loads of family favourites.
Everything turned out well, and while I did occasionally add a few extra minutes to things like meat and chips for extra crispiness, I was surprised at how much faster it cooked compared to my fan oven.
Chips came out beautifully golden and crunchy with a soft, fluffy centre, while chicken stayed juicy without drying out. All in all, the Salter did a fantastic job in this area.

Salter Dual Air Fryer EK4750BLK: design and style
I really liked the design of the Salter—it’s simple yet stylish, with a matte-black casing and a glossy control panel. Admittedly, it's not quite as eye-catching as the likes of the Ninja Double Stack Air Fryer, but it fitted nicely onto my kitchen counter without standing out too much.
As with any dual-basket model, you’ll need a decent amount of counter space to accommodate it, but the trade-off is worth it. Having two separate baskets gives you far more flexibility than a single-drawer small air fryer, making it a great option for families.
Capacity-wise, there's 7.4 litres of space split between the two drawers. Larger families may struggle with this space (for comparison, our best overall air fryer, the Ninja AF400UK has a 9.5-litre capacity), but there's plenty of room for three to four portions so it's a good choice for small to medium-sized households.

Is the Salter EK4750BLK Dual Air Fryer easy to clean?
I was a bit disappointed that the baskets aren't dishwasher-safe, which is why I only gave it three out of five in this area. Luckily, the baskets are easy to clean by hand though. With particularly greasy food like sausages, I had to put a bit more effort in to scrub the residue from the bottom of the baskets, but a good soak before cleaning made things much easier.
The glossy control panel is another minor drawback—it tends to show fingerprints quite easily, so it needs regular wiping to keep it looking its best.

Price: is the Salter Dual EK4750BLK 7.4L Air Fryer worth it?
Absolutely! At just £70, it's one of the cheapest dual-basket air fryers out there, yet it does a fantastic job. Granted, if you have a big family, you may need to go for a larger capacity, but overall I loved this air fryer, and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone wanting a dual-basket model for well under £100.
