How effective is the My Expert Midwife No Harm Bum Balm Nappy Rash Cream?
The My Expert Midwife No Harm Bum Balm is more of a barrier cream than a nappy rash cream, so it’s less effective on more severe cases of nappy rash than the likes of Sudocrem.
It contains medical-grade lanolin, which helps your baby’s skin to stay moisturised, as well as calendula which soothes soreness and redness.
While I did find the No Harm Bum Balm to reduce redness and provide a soothing effect if my daughter’s nappy area was sore, the effects weren’t instant. That said, I can see how this product would be effective as a nappy rash preventative if applied every day for a longer period of time.
As my daughter suffers from eczema, I am cautious about what I put on her skin. The No Harm Bum Balm was gentle on her sensitive skin and helped to keep it nourished in between nappy changes.
Is the My Expert Midwife No Harm Bum Balm Nappy Rash Cream good value for money?
The My Expert Midwife No Harm Bum Balm is one of the more expensive nappy rash creams I’ve come across, especially for the quantity. While a little goes a long way, the £13 price tag won’t suit all families, particularly as you can buy creams like Sudocrem for as little as £4 for quadruple the amount of product.
However if your little one has very sensitive skin and is prone to eczema, then this nappy cream is a good choice.
