So we at MNHQ are really happy to support a brand-new audio production of Peter Pan, which will go some way towards filling the rather sad pantomime-shaped gap, and raise funds for a vital charity: the Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital. As lots of you will know, J M Barrie gifted the royalties for Peter Pan to Great Ormond Street in perpetuity, and in more normal years panto productions are a big fundraiser for the hospital.
The adaptation features a festive blowout of amazing acting talent, including the actual Queen Olivia Colman, Sharon D Clarke, Joanna Riding, Bertie Carvel, Kenneth Branagh, Jane Horrocks, Jason Flemyng, Clive Rowe, and many more.
Members of the GOSH Young People’s Forum, including patients currently undergoing treatment and ex-patients, perform alongside the professional cast. Just in case you weren’t feeling emotional enough already…
The production was recorded over Zoom (of course) and has been mixed and mastered together with a fantastic score to provide escapism for the whole family.
The audio play will be available to stream from Sunday 20 December. The full production will be available for £1.99 – 100% of this will go directly to GOSH. Further donations will be greatly appreciated.
