The Mumsnet Leadership Accelerator Programme
Mumsnet has launched a Leadership Accelerator Programme to help firms reduce their gender pay gap - and which can be funded from their apprenticeship levy.
Ensuring women’s advancement and progression to senior positions in organisations is a key part of achieving gender parity – and pay gap audits have really put this issue in the spotlight.
Mumsnet has teamed up with Corndel – a specialist provider of high quality leadership and management training – to launch an 12-month programme designed to get women into leadership positions and retain the best female talent. It’s tailored to women returning to work after a career break, or after maternity leave. And it can be paid for in full by funds from a firm’s Apprenticeship Levy.
The Accelerator gives women the skills they need to advance while helping employers to retain great staff. These programmes work: GSK runs a coaching programme for people making a significant transition, including returning from parental leave. Since their programme launched in 2015, the 12-months-later retention rate for programme participation has been 100%.

■ Chartered Management Institute Diploma in Leadership and Management (Level 5)
■ Chartered membership of the CMI for the duration of the programme
■ Access to online CMI resources for the duration of the programme
■ Option to continue chartered membership upon qualification
■ Maps to the Operational/Departmental Manager Apprenticeship Standard
