Note the weasel words of the thread don't actually apologise for allowing terrible people to decide the victim wasn't female because she wasn't sufficiently meeting a stereotypical view of how women should look in their bigoted opinions. The fault for behaving in a bigoted fashion is only that of the bigots and no-one else.

I really don't understand this trend of coming over to Mumsnet to berate us for something other people said on X/twitter. What is the purpose of it?

Also, the thread topic doesn't make sense. We can always tell in real life that a man is pretending to be a woman. That's not the same as what the thread topic is trying to imply.

No, you're right there, it's a cesspool. So apologies, they followed you, you tweeted something misogynistic and they blocked you, you didn't follow them. Sounds fair to me.

That brings back memories. I was one of the first accounts on twitter that FWS folllowed. They liked and retweeted me daily until I publicly tweeted that I was a transallyscot. Then they blocked me.

Such tolerance.

Just to note that every other Scottish feminist still followed me, liked, retweeted me etc. Whether they agreed with that part of my feminism or not.

Sad to see a thread that has highlighted a serious mistake and lesson learned by Counting Dead Women and shone sunlight on the tendency of Genderists to leverage anything they think might discredit gender critical Feminism, has devolved into someone rehashing a twitter grudge from years ago.

It's clearly something they feel strongly about, so maybe not fair or productive to encourage them to rehash it?

The premise of your argument is false at the outset, because a photo does nothing. We've always said we can tell IN PERSON; ie voice, gait, etc. It's in person. You think a photo counts for anything. So your argument is wrong from the get-go.
