I'm confused as why the investigation might draw TRA interest, and why India and Freda are wound up - have I missed something?

Edited

You are fortunate enough to have missed a lengthy carry on! Trying to keep it as short as I can.

NW gave a platform to a TiM in his Genderblog presumably in an attempt to be even handed. The TiM wrote an article which was ( in my view) a woman hating rant. It was dire but totally uncensored by NW. It was not well received by the wider audience, including here on FWR.

Some visitors arrived on this board to denounce NW as unreliable etc. The hidden agenda (imo) being that: they don't like him reporting on recent E.T.s and criticising where he sees fit

Separately, tra and supporters ( including Windy and Wallace) have blamed all sorts of people whom they don't like, for the academic's state of mind prior to his death. Claiming the deceased as one of their own as he was "vulnerable", "different", allegedly.

If the NW investigation doesn't come out with the right answers for these people, then I'm fairly sure they'll get quite worked up about it. We've already seen Windy and Wallace preparing the ground.

Ah, this was the bit I was missing, thank you. I did know Wallis is TRA poison

KittyWilkinson · 16/10/2026 19:49

I tried my best there @crabbyoldbat because it only makes sense to the Kool Aid Klan. The rest of us, as you did, are going WTF has X got to do with Y?

DrBlackbird · 16/10/2026 19:50

PF i was aware that they could have expenses reimbursed
CM so not aware paid an hourly rate
PF I was not consciously aware
CM were you aware
PF not aware

The best new defence.

Officer: Ma’am were you aware that you are over the legal limit for alcohol?
Driver: Why officer, no I was not consciously aware.

Faculty: Student, were you aware that you cheated by submitting an essay entirely created by ChatGPT?
Student: No Prof, I wasn’t consciously aware.

🙄

Nick Wallis is involved and amongst TRAs he has an equivalent status to JKR because of his genderblog.

They can't directly (factually) discredit his work so they are trying to discredit him instead, and by extension his work.

Same old same old.

MyThreeWords · 16/10/2026 20:05

I was struck by that, too, @DrBlackbird In fairness I think you can be unconsciously aware of some things. But I wasn't impressed by her implicit claim that you can be unconsciously aware of people being paid an hourly rate.

Character assassination is one of the favoured tactics, NW is on their radar now, because of Gender Blog, and the article he did on the conveyor belt of butchery, aka the Gender Service, in Wales, that finally prompted the Cardiff & Vale Trust to suspend the service and do an immediate review of it.

Oh and I was once in a conference chaired by Adam Doyle and ended up taking a tally of how many times he said "going forwards". I think it was 37 in one 15 minute presentation. At one point (at least) he said it twice in the same sentence, i.e. "going forwards we will absolutely do x and y going forwards".

It means nothing...where else would we be going?!

Ha, I knew it! 37 times??
The ever-forward self-propelling Mr Doyle may turn himself into a perpetual motion machine if he's not careful, thus defying the laws of physics.

Maya Forstater has been a guest on Times Radio just now. The first comment on X re her slot is from India W. It is utterly vile and also appears to tell the PM to FO

India Willoughby • @IndiaWilloughby •13m

Doctors know what anatomy their patients are. They have records. This is about your vile, sniggering, bullying of a minority - who you want tormented. You are a gross lump of shit Maya. And yes, I'm being as offensive as you are being. Disgusting that @UKLabour @bphillipsonMP and our warped @EHRC allow this. You can all fuck off. @andyburnham

At this point someone needs to stage an intervention he is increasingly manic on this subject. I am concerned he may harm someone physically, including himself he’s getting so animated these days. Hopefully he has some decent people around him to help and support him. I mean this genuinely. His anger and venom these days is on a new level.

An example presumably of what Freda Wallace would call "creative words in moments of stress and pressure" https://missfredawallace.substack.com/p/the-blocked-road-to-the-hospital
Is Freda Wallace's piece written by AI? I spotted one hallucination. I thought it doubtful that Maya Forstater would have said "that her case was picked up as a test case with the expressed intention to use the law to diminish transgender employment rights in the UK." So I watched the whole podcast and of course she didn't.

It's because of the Omnicause. There is a fixed set of beliefs that all good people adhere to. Without exception. One belief is that TWAW. Another is that Jason Arday is a saint who was killed by the operation of white supremacy.

Wow I've gone down a total rabbit hole this afternoon reading your threads and associated links. Does anyone have a link to the paper bundle they refer to in the proceedings? Is that in the public domain? I keep getting a 'too many requests' notice when I try and link from the sub stack so thanks so much to those of you doing sterling cutting and pasting work.

Having worked in a similar area and slightly knowing some of the defendants/witnesses in this case I can totally see how they got into this mess. What I can't understand is how they possibly thought they could defend it in court. Why on earth didn't they settle? It must be sheer arrogance coupled with an absolute belief they were in the right, but what terrible legal advice were they given to get into such a mess on the stand?

I'm absolutely agog, to be honest.

That’s what I’m finding incredible as well. I’ve done some public service consulting, so I can imagine how Covid era online politics + performative niceness combined to make cliques in workplaces that signed up to absolutely batshit fashionable things, but it’s been a few years now and they’ve had real legal advice.

What the HELL are they doing bringing this shitshow to court? Do none of them ever want to work again?

The problem is their own characters are already so thoroughly discredited they’ve no standing left at all.

NHS senior managers who have to resign after scandals are usually seen quite soon in a more lucrative post elsewhere.

Isn't that the truth, it's like musical chairs at the top, they're all looking out for one another like the well connected tribe that they are. A lot of them went to Uni together, a lot of them are related to one another, it's the power structure that DEI in its true form was supposed to open up.

They can't unilaterally decide to end it. It has to be Dr Redvers who decides to drop it. More strength to her arm.

Prestissimo · Yesterday 07:24

Word is that she did offer to settle, though, @SqueakyDinosaur - they chose to fight this in court. At all of our financial expense. Hopefully some good will come of it in the end.

She offered to settle for £1 plus a lot of apologies but was turned down.

nauticant · Yesterday 07:47

Which, repeating myself, means that this terrible waste of taxpayers' money, considerable use of NHS resources, this shredding of reputations, this continuation of the nightmare Dr Redvers has being going through for years, is all to avoid making proper apologies that would also signal that the NHS is starting to move away from fully supporting gender ideology.

There's a name for this. It's called Misconduct in Public Office.

StSpiridian · Yesterday 08:08

I agree @Nauticant. Don't understand why public employees/ officials are not being charged.

TheywontletmehavethenameIwant · Yesterday 08:13

That's why we need a Public Inquiry, with the power to lay charges if necessary, and it will be necessary.

Oh, what a tangled web we weave,
When first we practice to deceive

Sir Walter Scott. Also referring to Adam Doyle.

Also quoted by the late Lord Tebbit in the debates in the HoL about the GRA.

All the problems he predicted with the GRA have come true yet all objections were waved away by the government who were determined to pass it.

You don't even need to plough through Hansard; HairyLeggdHarpy on X has all the details in her pinned post.

BinturongsSmellOfPopcorn · Yesterday 08:55

I don't think we know the exact details of the settlement offer, do we? The report I saw said £1 and 'some commitments that wouldn't harm staff or patients'.

I'm going to assume one of those was 'publish the audit'.

anyolddinosaur · Yesterday 09:10

While the government is doing its best to reverse everything that been achieved with the conversion therapy bill there doesnt seem to be any hope of getting a public enquiry.

The public doesnt want this nonsense but the labour party is still wedded to it. They dont yet see it as losing them enough votes to matter.

On the issue of public v private sector - I've worked with both and the biggest idiots I came across were "captains of industry" - some "tims nice but dim" and some who seemed to have no redeeming features whatsoever. (They were, of course, all male.) It was before the days of this madness but I could easily see it taking over the private sector.

I agree @Nauticant. Don't understand why public employees/ officials are not being charged.

They need to be. I'm sick of the NHS being so useless and paying men like Doyle a fortune in salary and pension when all they seem to do is make the service worse.

I'm feeling properly angry about all the harm the managers and DEI leads cause. I doubt it would make much difference to the care - it might in fact make it better as generally speaking the nurses and doctors know what they're doing- if all the people like him were sacked. See also Sandie Peggie and all the useless managers and the DEI lead there. They literally stopped a decent, very experienced nurse doing her job and helping patients all because she wouldn't agree to get undressed in front of a bloke. None of them do ANYTHING for patients at all.

In Peggie's case IIRC an HR person even pointed out that it was insane they were suffering with staffing levels (which, if insufficient, will ultimately end up with patients dying) and had Peggie on forced leave. I always wonder what happened to that HR person because- based on the evidence from that tribunal - I find it difficult to believe there wasn't a punishment for stating hard truths.

I'm sure most of us have experienced the inadequacies of frontline care in the NHS whilst also noting the money pissed away on DEI or glossy brochures about their pet causes and seeing through these tribunals how useless and unaccountable many on large salaries are.

I do think, given their ability to network their way into other jobs no matter the findings of failures of care, that criminal charges are the only way to change things.

GailBlancheViola · Yesterday 10:16

I do think, given their ability to network their way into other jobs no matter the findings of failures of care, that criminal charges are the only way to change things.

And they need to be barred from ever working in similar roles again and I would go as far as saying they need to lose at least part of their lucrative pension. Their rank incompetence and lackadasical attitude should be punished not rewarded.
