I uploaded an adblocker a couple of weeks ago because of the porny Ann Summers adverts (which MN claimed we’re a consequence of browsing activity and not their commercial partnership - pure gaslighting).

I didn’t want to do it but it has been bliss. Would strongly recommend.

Afraid I will be taking my free financial and investment knowledge for mumsnetters elsewhere. Tis just driving me mad - and that’s trying to read.

Yeah, threads are unreadable on my phone now with a third to half the page covered in car adverts (I don’t even drive). Please can you fix this!

Mumsnet is now unusable on my iPhone. Started a couple of days ago. I'm getting repetitive strain injury from the endless fucking scrolling to try to get past humongous adverts (many of which are gruesomely awful).

I'm on my laptop now on which I have installed uBlock Origin, a free ad blocker.

Do you not use the App? That's the only way I use MN. No ads besides the small ones midway through a thread

You can't even read the whole advert, it's like it thinks my phone is twice as wide as it is. What's the point??

Feels like I've got one of those migraines where my vision narrows and I can only see a fraction of what I can normally see.

Is this purposeful? Because if it is, it's shit. If it's not, what's going on?

I haven't shown any interest in cars or roper Rhodes Hampton whatever that is so why are these ad banners dominating my screen so much I can't see anything else?!

Yep, I've been having similar problems on my phone, it's much more manageable on my laptop. Over on this thread , @agapornis identified the rogue domain as eb2.3lift.com so I'm going to try blocking that on my router.

I have just reported these complaints to Mumsnet HQ using the report button.

Content on MN is unreadable now. Perhaps using a laptop is better?.I won't be trying to use MN on my phone any more.

I'm sorry MNHQ but the number of ads is ridiculous, and I say that as a premium subscriber (which initially was sold as having less ads but I don't think it actually does).

If the site is having financial issues adding more and more ads may seem tempting but will just drive people away.

(Would be happy to pay more for my subscription to have no ads btw)
