SEN topics in Active

DamsonGin · 08/04/2018 23:27

I can't see any in active, even though I've customised the topics I see to include the SEN ones.

I did that years ago but it's relatively recently that they're no longer there in active, have I missed something?

Hi all,

There's a current thread where we've been posting. It's over here.

Please do take a look! In short, it's not been looked at yet. It will be soon and really sorry that it's taking so long.

SmackFox · 01/06/2018 07:42

Did this ever get fixed?

hazeyjane · 29/04/2018 08:32

Any answers yet?

According to another poster on the sn boards this has been going on for ages. It does seem a shame, as Imo it makes those boards quieter.

hazeyjane · 21/04/2018 10:36

That is right, Paddington, but the topic is not appearing in active (for some....all? I'm not sure) even when the opt in box is clicked.

PaddingtonLoverOfMarmalade · 21/04/2018 08:28

I think (but could be wrong) that snchat was taken out of active threads a few years ago after some people were disabilist and quite nasty. If I'm right it was a request by parents who posted there.

hazeyjane · 21/04/2018 08:13

Thankyou Caroline

CarolineMumsnet · 20/04/2018 20:14

Urgh. And Blush. And sorry for not getting back sooner.

I'm shame faced to admit that all I have to offer you at the moment is a conciliatory Gin. We're chasing this up again to get some answers to you quick smart - thank you so much for bearing with.

Sorry, again Flowers.

hazeyjane · 20/04/2018 18:40

Just checking in to the tumble weed thread.....

DamsonGin · 17/04/2018 20:05

Helloooo mnhq, have you got any further with it?

OP posts:
hazeyjane · 16/04/2018 20:28

Has anyone else solved this?

hazeyjane · 15/04/2018 09:33

Any progress on this?

I'm a bit hacked off that I'm not getting special needs threads and not getting Feminism threads. If I'm just going to be left with irritating AIBUs, I'm off.

Samcro · 10/04/2018 11:15

its odd, i havn't been able to opt in for ages. it says there is an option, but then doesn't give me the option.

SophieLMumsnet · 10/04/2018 10:48

Hi all,

We're just nudging about this one - bear with us Flowers

DamsonGin · 09/04/2018 21:11

And I'll try not to sneeze too often, that really messes up the end result.

Yes Eggysmum, though I tend to do it on the desktop rather than mobile version, it's one of the options along the top bar in talk somewhere from memory.

My box is ticked, Eggy. But things have gone wonky.

hazeyjane · 09/04/2018 21:06

You pour the gin, I'll light the incense.

Hold on to your booze and prepare to go widdershins!

EggysMom · 09/04/2018 21:04

We can customise the topics that appear in the Active feed?

DamsonGin · 09/04/2018 21:00

Must be it. Need to spin round three times without spilling a glass of gin to break the spell.

OP posts:
hazeyjane · 09/04/2018 20:44

Maybe our spooky-woo posts have broken Mumsnet, Damson!

DamsonGin · 09/04/2018 20:36

This thread however is coming up in Active.

OP posts:
DamsonGin · 09/04/2018 20:35

Ooh, proper x post. Very spooky.

DamsonGin · 09/04/2018 20:34

Thanks Rivka, hazeyjane started a thread in snchat and a couple of us have tried bumping it but it doesn't seem to be coming up in active immediately after, as you'd expect.

OP posts:
hazeyjane · 09/04/2018 20:34

Ok, I started a 'testing, testing' thread on sn chat. It definitely didn't come up in my active convos. Anyone else fancy a try?

RivkaMumsnet · 09/04/2018 19:06

Hi there,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

We're going to try and establish whether it's a fault or whether it's just that SN aren't making it into Active because other threads/topics are just attracting more traffic.

Will be back with an update as soon as we can.
