All parties have been connected to scandal at some point in time. Just happens to be that the current focus is on Reform.

I would say that is due to Reform being higher in the polls than what the main parties like. Trying to dig up what someone did at school almost 50 years ago is real barrel scrapping.

More specifically on MN, the approach (or wishful thinking) seems to be that if Reform is discredited in any way it proves that the outcome of the 2016 referendum will be annulled and the EU has an obligation to write to the UK and say:

“Further to the comments made on MN and the result of the 2016 referendum being annulled by UK law (Reference Number to be added to remain supporters because I can’t find such a law), we hereby confirm that all events from 23 June 2016 are erased from existence.

Hence, the UK remains a member of the EU just like they were on 22 June 2016.”

And given the horrific, widespread, systematic gang rape of children that Labour and their supporters have attempted to ignore, cover up, and minimise for decades, accusing some bad apples within Reform of a bit of misogynistic behaviour is a bit like having a go at your next door neighbour for smoking a cigarette outside their own house during a hot and dry spell (a fire risk), when you've been lighting a large bonfire in your own back garden every evening for weeks now, and the bonfire you just lit has set light to your other neighbours house which is currently being burned to the ground.

But I am a Restore supporter, not a Reform fan, so I have no dog in this fight. Just pointing out the exceptional levels of cognitive dissonance being presented, that's all.
