He can’t even bring himself to come to your town to accept the vote. He is laughing at you.

Real “man of the people’ - why can’t you see that he doesn’t give a crap about you or your problems?

Oh well at least the investigation into the £5mill can resume.

The media witch hunt was just that ....a witch hunt and they published accusations In the media that completely dismantled the man's character and achievements.

Let's put this into context, how many professors are guilty of plagiarism. Omitted citations in a bibliography is all it takes, and from what I've read it looks like he may have copied a sentence from BMJ journal and it was picked up by another professor. But despite this why was the press infatuated with a professor guilty of plagiarism. Did it warrant the campaign they ran.

My opinion is this is deeply unsettling and smells very much of an establishment campaign to undermine a black influential academic

You're viewing accusations of plagiarism in isolation of Arday's Walter Mitty stories. If you're going to do comparisons to other (white) plagiarists, it might help not to leave out key factors. BTW, it was more than just copying a sentence.
