U just feel low as it feels like a setback, its just your having to go through a few pills to get to the one that works. U might have to do some straight talking to your self. Im always getting nasty reactions to diff meds !! Once you find what works you will feel better , you will. Glad youve come back on to let us know. x

mummytosteven · 26/04/2005 16:37

glad that your meds have been sorted out.

don't worry about "taking control" - just do what it takes to get through the next few weeks. iirc tricyclics like lofepramine should be quicker acting than SSRIs, so you should start to feel the benefit quicker than with SSRIs (cross fingers)

Hope the doc appointment went ok Essbee, and they got your med sorted out. Tht's all it needs - you will pick up.

mummytosteven · 26/04/2005 15:55

hope the GP appointment went OK.

sorry you have been feeling so rough.

you've come through bad patches before - the hopelessness/feeling of futility is part of the depression - try and hold on to the thought that you have felt bad before, and then things have improved again.

i think you have taken ADs in the past that have helped without bad reactions. can you ask the doc what they were?

swiperfox · 26/04/2005 14:04

C'mon essbee - you can get through this. I haven't really piped up on your threads before but you come across to me as a strong person. Don't let it get to you - I know it's easier said than done but there's so much for you in life. Be strong with the docs - don't let them fob you off.

I know you can do it

MarsLady · 26/04/2005 13:46

hi essbee

I'm on my way out but just wanted to check how things were going. Will look in again later.

Much love and many kisses honey. Hope you get the medication sorted. Haven't had time to read, was just happy to see your name.

champs · 26/04/2005 13:10

hi esbee,
dont be frustrated, blame it on gp for giving you wrong ones. just think you're closer to getting the right ones.

LGJ · 26/04/2005 11:00

No you haven't, you just think you have, you have children who need you, it might take time to get the drugs sorted out, but that too will happen.

Now get your arse in gear and try and go for a walk, or go and buy a mag and have a nice warm bath, or turn on this morning and oggle Philip Schofield.
