(can I just clarify, the person I said was an arse was the CAMHS bloke, not your ds!)

mummytosteven · 11/03/2005 22:05

Hi Essbee. Grrr at CAMHS. Whatever the source of the problem, the guy you saw sounds rather better at drawing pretty diagrams than coming up with any practical solutions to help the pair of you. Glad that DS's school is on board. You may want to post something on the SN board to do with concentration/ADHD - I have a feeling that people have posted on there that it's a misnomer that kids with ADHD can absolutely never concentrate but I know very little about this sort of thing, so take me with same pinch of salt you would some old bat at a bus stop.

tamum · 11/03/2005 22:05

What a complete arse he sounds. That's good about the teacher agreeing with your assessment though.

I'm sorry your friend hasn't shown up but you have lots and lots on here

soapbox · 11/03/2005 22:05

Hi Essbee!

Gosh that sounded a complete waste of space

Where does it leave you now???

Poor kid needs the help that he deserves to make it all work for him - he must be miserable and needs the right intervention to make sense of it all!

You sound a little bit chirpier despite all of todays hassles.

Sorry your friend didn;t turn up

Let me know if you want to chat!!!

Jxxxxx

I'm so glad to hear that you've been making so many positive steps, Essbee. Even small steps will move you forward.

Lots of love x

katierocket · 11/03/2005 11:37

just caught up with this. Glad you're back at home and things are going ok essbee.
hang in there ladyeee, we're all routing for you

LIZS · 11/03/2005 09:06

Just wanted to let you know that am still thinking about you.

Yesterday as I was driving along the motorway I realised that after almost 2 months of grey skies, heavy snow fall and cloud it was a beautiful sunny, warm (well, above freezing at least!) clear day with thick snow still lying on the ground. It was such an uplifting feeling that I wanted to share it with you. I expect this all sounds really naff, but I hope you can find some such moments in the next few days, weeks and months to help you through this.

tamum · 10/03/2005 23:02

essbee, sleep well I'm so glad you're feeling more yourself.

littlemissbossy · 10/03/2005 23:00

unicorn · 10/03/2005 22:58

essbee.. you are doing so well - I wish you a super peaceful sleep tonight.

nightowl - do you not sleep in the dark?

(maybe mumsnet could do with you as a nightime moderator... ?)

nightowl · 10/03/2005 22:52

glad to hear your day went well xx think you are right about the going to bed early thing. it really is the hardest time in the early hours and so easy to feel like your the only one in the world..strange feeling. thats not to say i wont be here if you need me...i will be skulking around as ever! lots of love xx

stupidgirl · 10/03/2005 22:24

Honey, I haven't read through all this thread, but I just wanted to say I'm so glad to hear you're ok, so many people have been worried about you. For the most part I've been avoiding the 'feeling depressed' threads, because I'm pretty low myself, and just can't take on other people's problems at the moment, but I have been thinking about you. I just want to wish you well and let you know that we are all here to listen. Don't apologise or feel bad. Just good to know you're ok (((hugs))).

Soupy! Tissy, that's a brilliantly put point about the collection. Hope it helps you get your head round the idea Essbee and that spending it helps you on many levels.

Enid · 10/03/2005 17:20

essbee, it is inspiring to hear you taking these positive steps to help yourself. It sounds like those around you have risen to it too and are giving you some real, practical help.

Good luck, thinking of you x E
