just got back from shopping. it was the last thing i needed to be doing but it was a case of having to. I feel totally drained mentally and physically. My head is starting to hurt again. I am sat here in tears....I can't physically do anymore even if i wanted to. There is still so much that needs doing but i really cant even lift myself up enough to even go up the stairs.....WTF is wrong with me??? I feel so damned useless and crap.

Titania, housework doesn't matter. You do. Your little ones don't care if the house is immaculate. Please, take it easy. Have you talked to your hv about this? Please look after yourself. You're more important than a house.

Titania · 08/03/2005 15:45

I bet you had the neatest and cleanest dolls house ever!

Trying to keep a house clean and tidy when you have little kids is like trying to sweep up leaves on a very windy day, you have to just leave it, and accept that the house might get messy sometimes but you certainly aren't the only one!

Please take some time for yourself Titania, and relax.....

alicatsg · 08/03/2005 13:08

SIT DOWN!!

honestly love whats gonna happen if it isn't cleaned today? you do a bit more when you do get round to it? is that so awful?

Titania · 08/03/2005 13:06

Hi,just saw your thread Titania and know exactly how you feel.I was on 20mg cipramil and like you felt so tired all the time, dizzy and shakey.I have a ds of 3 and a dd of 2 and they don't sleep in the day now ethier.
I came off the cipramil in december and although i still have my bad days i have found the tiredness and dizzy spells are not as bad.I found on the tablets i could not cry if i'd wanted to and although my Hv said that was a good thing i think sometimes having a good cry does you good to get it out instead of bottling it all up.
I like you have no family or friends network to rely on and that i think is part of my priblem,it is so hard being on your own with just your children as much as we love them with no adult conversation at all.
Keep your chin up and maybe discuss with your doctor about getting some CBT therapy.I am on a programme at the moment and it challenges your negative thoughts which i know i have many.
I t just lets you look at the altenatives instead
of making everything black and white.
Hope this helps,i know how you are feeling and it is very difficult to explain to someone who is not going through it,especally family members i find
best wishes

I can't remember what's happening for you with ADs - have you changed brand or dose?

Uh Oh! Could be a cold then!

Can you strike a balance between getting jobs done that will give you that nice glow of satisfaction, and making sure you give yourself enough rest? Moving house is incredibly stressful, and IME the effects last for months! Anyway, hope you get through today ok, an hour at a time.

Titania · 08/03/2005 11:49

no i had a test for anaemia too. came back fine

OP posts:
crumpet · 08/03/2005 11:05

Titania, could you be iron deficient? I know when I was anaemic I was so tired and lethargic.

Titania · 08/03/2005 11:02

yes i have had thyroid checked and it came back as normal. i dont get pmt. bath would be nice but got to go get dd from nursery in 10 minutes.

OP posts:
Blu · 08/03/2005 10:58

Glad you got a good nights sleep, anyway. It's really important - I'm like a mad demon if I'm tired.
I wonder why you are so lethargic and sick feeling? Any ideas what that could be? Have you ever had your thyroid levels checked? It goes along with feeling depressed, I think. Or maybe you are going down with a cold or PMT? A nice bubbly bath sounds like a good idea at some stage.

HellKat · 08/03/2005 10:42

So sorry to hear you're down Titania. I hear ya on the cleaning thing though (totally like monica here from friends lol)
I noticed you said that no friends lived near you. Whereabouts are you? Kettering, Northants here.
Take care

crumpet · 08/03/2005 10:41

Are the children with you at the moment? If not go and run a hot bath and relax. Or have a siesta.

amynnixmum · 08/03/2005 10:37

Titania {{{hugs}}}

I agree with the others that housework is no where near as important as your well being. Sounds like you need a day of pampering yourself.
