God you sound so much like i felt when we were in the flat.

I'm not sure what to say really, am crap at giving advice but regarding the housing you have to keep fighting, even when you feel like hiding under your quilt.

I found giving myself one thing to do regarding the housing every day made me feel a bit better as i was actually doing something.

oh dear - sympathy/hug/cup of tea emoticon required here.....

a couple of possible approaches here:-

approach 1 - look at speaking to GP etc and looking at possible treatment for depression - ADs/counselling

approach 2 - try out the non-medical approach to treating depression - regular eating/sleeping (i know, you'll laugh at that one with 3 under 5!), yoga/meditation/exercise, having a bit of a break/indulgence, and finding a decent self-help book that doesn't waffle on about your inner child, but gives you a bit of cognitive therapy - i.e. helps you to help yourself boost your self-esteem, and judge yourself more positively and think less negatively.

approach 3 - do a list of what can be changed, and break it all down into teeny stages as to how to achieve them - some things are out of your control - awkward families, but somethings are in your control - having another baby, but you need to work out the housing issues before doing that

what sort of approach would seem best to you atm?

Oh sorry you are feeling blue Titania.

As you know i do know how you feela nd understand completely about your housind probs and the baby thing too.

You have to remember that things will get better. You are going through a rough patch right now and i know it seems like it will always be like this but please don't despair.

Have you spoken to your council again yet ???

Caribbeanqueen · 24/09/2004 13:44

Hi Titania, why are you arguing, what's wrong? Things seemed so positive for you recently.
