Anyone else TTC number 2 in their mid-30s and fancy some company? 😊 I’m 35, have a DD who is just about to turn 4, and we’ve just started our first cycle trying for number 2. I feel like we’d ^just^ reached the glorious stage of proper sleep, no nappies, actual conversations and being able to leave the house without half of the house crammed into a changing bag… so naturally I decided what our lives really need is a newborn 😂 I went very Type A when TTC my DD and turned the whole thing into a project - LH strips, BBT, supplements, special lube, the works 🙈 This time I’m trying very hard to be more relaxed and go with the flow. Trying being the operative word 😂 Would love some company from anyone in a similar boat: TTC number 2, mid-30s, slightly excited, slightly questioning their own sanity and trying not to symptom spot at 2DPO 😂 PS. Currently on cycle 1 and my fertile window is just about closing, so now entering the very calm and rational part where I definitely won’t analyse every bodily sensation for the next two weeks 😂🙈

@Peedthebed You've done amazingly with the breastfeeding! It's obviously your decision to make to stop when you're ready, but I hope you wouldn't feel any guilt if you decide to stop soon, for whatever reason. It is bloody hard work

Morning from the clown corner 🤡

I am officially annoyed with my apps. They have single-handedly messed with my head this cycle.
Flo is adamant I ovulated on the 9th and AF is due around the 24th. Meanwhile Natural Cycles has apparently woken up this morning and decided, “Actually no babes, how about ovulation on the 17th and your period on the 30th?” 🙃

Yesterday’s test was offensively, spectacularly, blindingly negative, so at this point I have absolutely no idea where I am in my cycle. I’m calling this month a write-off in terms of actually learning anything useful and have accepted that next cycle I need some proper data instead of just CM and vibes 😂

OPKs are officially going into my Amazon basket as we speak…

How’s everyone else doing? So excited we already have a few positives in the group!! Gives me hope lol 🥰

Im ok, it is tough, the not knowing is horrible. Thank you, its officially my birthday today went out yesterday to celebrate, not testing today. Will be testing tomorrow morning though. Hopefully by that point line should be a bit darker

I’m really trying to hold out testing until Wednesday when I’ll be 12dpo but I think I’d have sore boobs by now if I was so thinking this probably isn’t my month!

@CasualOverthinker I can't believe your apps are so different, that's wild! No wonder you're frustrated. Hope you get an end to this cycle one way or another soon.

I am super lame, I took DH out for a drink before our meal out, got us two beers and then we cheersed. I then immediately found myself on the brink of tears and was speechless for a moment, freaked DH out and then said "it's ok, you're just going to need to drink this for me!"

It was a lovely moment, he was astounded but so pleased, even though it's sooner than we had really mentally prepared for. Very early days though, I know. The relief after confessing to him was immense 😂

Yes Saturday. My boobs have started to feel slightly sore but it’s probably the amount I keep prodding them to check 🤣 I’ve got a phone appointment with recurrent miscarriage a week today and I’m hoping they’ll suggest adding hydroxychloroquine. I’m just trying to remind myself of that and that we’ve got nice things planned to look forward to. A leaving do this week and a cruise next month.

I distracted myself nicely this morning clearing out and reorganising toddler's clothes, unfortunately just cracked and went and found the pregnancy tests which are still in date. So it's just me and my willpower now. Last time I tested positive at 11dpo which would allegedly be... tomorrow. But AF due Saturday as well so I'd like to get to Friday if I can. I didn't trust the positive last time for days.

Yeah I just end up re-testing either way and after 2 1/2 years I can’t keep spending money like that 😂

17 days post chemical today and no idea what my LH is doing 🤦‍♀️ did go up yesterday but nothing above 0.8. Guess I'll just keep testing to see if goes up again!

@FlyingHighFlyingLow im certainly no expert but cd 19 11pm looks like the control and test line are the same colour and 18/19 look close. I’d probably have assumed that was the peak if it were mine.

And for everyone still in the TWW, how are we all holding up? Has anyone else tested? Anyone managing to stay sane? (If so, please share your secrets because I clearly don’t possess that skill 😂)

Little update from Clown HQ 🤡… I’m still very much in limbo. My apps have completely fallen out with each other, so I’ve given up trying to work out where I am in my cycle. I have officially purchased OPKs for next month because I refuse to be gaslit by algorithms ever again. 😂

I last tested yesterday morning which could have been anywhere from 10DPO to 5DPO and haven’t tested again since that spectacularly offensive snow-white negative, and I’m trying to hold out a little longer before peeing on any more sticks.

I also have a delightful selection of “symptoms” that could either mean absolutely everything or absolutely nothing 😂 Hot overnight for the last couple of nights, slightly sore boobs, bloated, gassy (apologies for the glamour 🙈)… basically feeling like an absolute vision of femininity right now. 🤣

I'm in limbo too, had faint positives last week. And yesterday big fat negative. Phoned the doctors and they said if AF dont arrive with in 3 weeks then to phone back and they'll do a blood test. At the moment theres not much they can do.

Hey! I'm currently 7dpo, bought some tests today but probably going to test at 9dpo earliest. Have had dull cramps most of the day the past couple of days and some short sharp pains low down today. Trying not to get my hopes up but feeling cautiously optimistic. Hope you all have some answers soon too ladies 🫶

So. In other news. I did the completely unhinged thing, where I randomly had to pee on a FRER just now. Yeh, no FMU for me, 4.30 pm on a Tuesday will do 🙄🤡 and I am whatever the opposite of line eyes is. And this is not FMU and it’s god knows what DPO. But if there is someone here whose eyes work, do you see anything maybe? And like, I’m not saying there is a line. But for some reason it also doesn’t look absolutely stark white to em all of the sudden either. 🤨 But then I’ve been staring at it for 15 min straight from every angle imaginable. So there’s that. And before you say it, I know. I should put it in the bin, forget about it, stop squinting, and maybe re-test with FMU on like a Thu morning. That’s what a reasonable person would do. But it’s me, so…have I totally and utterly lost the plot??

I see it! In the first photo it's easier to see, fingers crossed for you that it's the start of something!

It may well be a shadow, the angle of the photo, an indent… or perhaps we both just have spectacular line eyes. 🤷🏻‍♀️
The thing that’s thrown me is that I’m not usually a squinty person. I’ve never been one of those people who can convince themselves there’s “something” there. My tests have always either been unmistakably negative or very obviously positive, with no in-between, so this has thrown me for a loop a little bit.
If you can’t tell from my many posts that have (not so) slowly descended into madness over the past week or so… uncertainty and I are not friends. 🙃😂

So I'm 12dpo tomorrow. Big plan is to test on Friday, day before AF is due. I'm bloated, cramping, exhausted like unusually so, sore boobs, feeling on/off nauseous in the afternoons which I didn't until 5.5 weeks last time. Just like hmm someone who's PMSing? I'm suddenly desperate to test but trying everything to hold out now.

If I test tomorrow morning and it's negative I think I'd feel crap and also like it's still not a definitive no. Same for Thursday probably and I've got plans with the toddler both mornings. Friday he's back at nursery so gives me a bit of room to sit in my feelings if it's negative. And big thing this time I don't want to tell DH any good news before it's really definite either, but I also don't want to keep the secret for days. All signs point to find out for sure on Friday but goddamn waiting is hard!
