Help with baby name

We are torn between Landon, Elliott, Samuel and potentially Caden for baby boy names and struggling to decide what to name him. Are these bad options?
One thing I wanted to note is that if we ever have a girl, we are pretty certain we want to name her Reagan, so also wondering peoples opinions on what goes best with Reagan although it doesn’t necessarily matter right now!

Samuel is my favourite.

My grandson is Regan. Not heard of it for a girl before.

Regan is normally a girl name.

It's the name of one of King Lear's daughters in the Shakespeare play.

Reagan is even worse. It's either a dopey US president or what you use to shoot baddies in sci fi films.

Caden is absolutely awful. Makes me think of Brayden, Jayden and other badly behaved boys.

Landon isn't a name. It's what a plane does on a runway.

Samuel is your best bet. The spelling of Elliott will always be a pain.

I like Samuel a lot.

Elliott isn't my taste, but fine.

Landon and Caden I think are really not very nice at all but (brace yourself for brutal honesty 😬) they go best with Reagan, which I think is awful for a girl.

What about Lando, which is seeing a bit of use these days and I just think dropping the "n" makes a real difference.

Better still Orlando, but I sense we are going to be quite far apart on that one.

Are you in the US? That might make a difference. Have you tried posting on US forums, as the reactions may differ.

ETA I can see Orlando may not work in the US. Probably sounds like Disney World! I think of the Italian, as in Orlando Innamorato, or Virginia Woolf, but can concede a Disney park doesn't have quite the same romantic connotations.

Elliott is my favourite, would have used it if we had a boy.
Samuel is good.
Landon? Never heard of it so not sure.
Caden - ok, seems to be quite popular.
Not a big fan of Reagan but it’s ok.

Reagan is quite uncommon. I know one 20 year old woman called Reagan

For a boy I agree with everyone else, either Samuel or Elliot. Samuel is the easiest for spelling.

I’d pick Samuel from your choices but Elliot is fine too. Landon is a surname and Caden is a modern creation (part of the rhymes-with-Aidan craze of the late nineties) so I’m not a fan of that either.

Also, did you mean Regan like the girl from King Lear (cool!) or Reagan like the president (not so cool)?

Love Samuel but it is my DH name, I wanted it to be our DS name but DH didn’t so we have a Thomas instead.

I like Samuel.

Elliott is okay

The other two are awful.

But be warned of the multiple spellings of Elliott if that’s going to bother you. Eliot, Elliot, Eliott and Elliott all seem to be in use.

Agree with this. It's really annoying having your name spelled differently wherever you go.

Elliot and Samuel are both nice, but I personally really dislike the other two. Landon sounds like someone trying to say ‘London’ in a faux Cockney accent and Caden isn’t one I’ve heard before so sounds more like a surname. Reagan definitely sounds like a surname - I just associate it with Ronald so it’s got a masculine connotation and I assume it’s pronounced the same but I guess might also be ‘Ree-gan’?

Elliott and Samuel are nice but the others are awful.
Reagan is nice for a girl too so avoiding Caden would be wise!

Samuel is gorgeous, but I think Elliott goes best with Reagan.

Caden and Reagan for siblings is a bit rhymey and Landon and Reagan is almost as bad.

Have always liked Elliott and Samuel.

Landon sounds too much like London. Caden and Reagan are both equally awful!
