I don't like either but if I had to choose it would be Rex because I think there is less chance of awful nn (mag?)

Definitely don't want Mag, Mags or Maggie nn. I was hoping it wouldn't be shortened at all and if it was, I'd only want Gus.

Both are AWESOME names - good choice OP!

If you like the thought if the nn Mags, Magpie, Gus etc, go for Magnus. If not, go for Rex.

I know 2 Magnus' & 1 Rex. Both human. Rude folk who ask whether you're "naming a dog" should bore off and get a hobby. Smile
