What would you do if you found out your auntie was on OF?

Am I being unreasonable?

My eldest has asked for access to Tik Tok recently, I dont particularly use this platform myself so we agreed that until mum scopes it out and takes a look we'll hang fire, im not sure. Im very cautious with settings and so far its only WhatsApp my child uses. Snapchat was a definite no!

Anyway, whilst checking it and looking at my own (blank) account that I dont use i saw i had followers, all new to me..... I click the link to see my Auntie on there with a very suggestive username. I click on it and was surprised at the content! No nudes images, but very suggestive, boob's galore 🫣 lets say shes a large blessed lady. But I certainly didn't expect to see my auntie in a school uniform on all fours 🤦‍♀️ or wobbling her assets.

My first thought was.... oh my gosh what if my kids saw this or there friends. Shes also invited and telling ppl in the videos to check her only fans.

I happened to message my mother to see if she knew anything about this, she too was alarmed, she then told my dad (her brother) who wasn't particularly happy. Anyway its now caused a big family drama, causing her and my dad to fall out. Not what I intended. Now im left feeling like its my fault. I do feel bad, shes a grown woman, I just think personality she could have had the decency to have been more private about all this. The comments from total strangers were alarming alone. No consideration for the teens in our family trying to navigate this crazy world, I think of the backlash it could cause and humiliation. I don't want them seeing there great aunt suckling on her finger or wearing pvc lingerie.
My cousin (her daughter) got in touch to say she was disappointed and disgusted in her uncles attitude towards her mum. When I asked if she'd seen or knew about her OF and tik tok she said no, ive always told her im not interested in her content but shes assured me that its all about positive body image for larger ladies. 🤦‍♀️ But my take is if you're staying in the dark you wont see the concern others have. Its a tricky one.

Like I said, shes a grown adult not my business, but as a mum I feel very protective about the lads/teens in our family and if they or there mates came across all this. Its all been blown up 😫 and that wasn't my intention. It was just a bit of a shock, shes my auntie too, my dad did jump and i felt i didn't have time to approach it myself and maybe ask her to adjust her settings. He flew in because he wasn't happy about it. 🤦‍♀️

This reads as a fetish post.

Probably because it most likely is.

Strange how these kinds of posts always pop up at a random early morning hour too.

notanothernamesurely · 20/09/2026 08:34

Not your business? What your aunt does in her spare time (so long as it is legal) is no concern of yours. If your kids can see only fans you need to change their settings.

LaidOnYourBackWithTheBoyWithTheArabStrap · 20/09/2026 08:34

I would either a) tell no one and try and forget I ever saw anything. Or b) talk to my aunt if I was truly concerned about her. You weren’t though. You “happened to” gossip to your mother instead of reaching out to your aunt. Honestly, if I was in your wider family I would be giving you a swerve from now on as you’re clearly all about the drama.

It obviously isn't AI, and OP has posts going back years.

The troll-hunting is incresibly boring, and likely wrong.

Ultraalox · 20/09/2026 08:36

I’d let her crack on

Akela64 · 20/09/2026 08:36

Your auntie shared her OF account publically so she should have expected that her family would find out. You did nothing wrong.

A couple of tweaks here and there...

I promise you. That's AI. Classic GPT. Exactly what it would come up with if you asked it do a MN post about my aunt on OF or whatever parameters the OP put in.

I think we might be at cross purposes, I assumed that the post I first commented on was saying that an AI bot wrote the post rather than a person and I was saying I'm sure it's a person

Using AI to write it for you is so routine now that it's not something usually worth pointing out.

Find a hobby and stop being such a busybody.

Its not troll hunting. Its just pointing out the post reads like it was written by Chatgpt. Ai is used by lots of people on MN. There's nothing wrong with that particularly. Or if it isnt Ai the OP might be interested to know he writes like Ai.

You caused all the drama by telling your mum who told her brother who told the aunt who spoke to her daughter. Of course it’s shocking and you didn’t want to see it but had you spoken directly to your aunt about her privacy settings there would have been no drama and her dignity preserved.

Not sure there's any dignity to preserve is there? Too late for that.

It doesn't read like AI, and based on their posting history, I doubt OP is a "he" either.

Bore off.

Im in my 40s too which makes my aunts past 70. So I would be somewhat alarmed to discover this.

Same my sunts are all 80+

Oh yes I didn't think it was a bot. I just thought it sounded like someone who typed into Chatgpt write a MN post based on the following. Very easy to find out if one was bothered to as there's lots of apps that recognise the signs.

Sassylovesbooks · 20/09/2026 08:52

What's done is done. Hindsight is a wonderful thing, after the event. Yes, you should have approached your Aunt directly, and advised her to change her phone number and settings. I understand why you went to your Mum, she's your Mum and you're close. Equally, you should have realised your Mum would tell your Dad, after all it's his sister!!

Of course you don't want your own children or other young family members to see your Aunt in this way. I can understand your concern.

You've not handled the situation great but that's because you were shocked. It may have been better to have sat on the information for several days, and thought about it, rather than made an impulsive decision.

Unfortunately, although you may not have meant to cause a problem, you inadvertently have. All you can do is apologise to your Aunt if you feel you should. Your cousin, if she's on the Town Council, needs to be more concerned the information isn't discovered by her constituents!!!!

Lurkingandlearning · 20/09/2026 08:55

Your aunt uploaded images of herself to the internet for the world to see. I don’t understand the criticism you are getting for taking about it with your mum. It was public content. I also find your aunt’s and cousin’s reactions a bit disingenuous. Did they really think their family wouldn’t criticise? As soon as you post anything publicly online you leave yourself wide open to criticism. Perhaps this is another example of people believing they can do whatever they please but then want to restrict others doing likewise such as criticising.

And, if you try a few of those apps, they will tell you that this was extremely likely to be human-authored.

Can you stop derailing the thread with posts that, by your own admission, would be pointless if they were accurate, particularly when they're not?

TheRoyalInkPot · 20/09/2026 09:04

I don't know this stuff so I can't comprehend how you have accessed it and how your daughter might have ?

Ethelspagetti · 20/09/2026 09:07

I personally think you’ve done nothing wrong. If I had seen it was a family member I’d be telling my family too! Who keeps something like that to themselves??! She wants to be on social media half naked so she shouldn’t mind everyone including family seeing her, right?! It’s not a secret she’s keeping! It’s public knowledge now it’s on social media. If she’s happy doing that and everyone knowing it then what can you do. I’ve a feeling after a while of no nice men wanting to date her and friends and neighbours not talking to her like they used to, she may think it’s no longer a good idea.

justasking111 · 20/09/2026 09:19

I've found out things about relatives whilst handling their estate both older generation close family. I've just buried it deep and not said anything.

But a vulnerable living person I might have gone to them and said look you need to alter your privacy settings for your own personal safety.

LondonLass2026 · 20/09/2026 09:24

Why are you acting the innocent, when you full well know you started all this by telling people?

GreenCaterpillarOnALeaf · 20/09/2026 09:25

My aunties are between 59-76 so I’d be a bit shocked, and I might be a bit concerned that they were struggling financially or had been pushed to do it by someone else (as it would be very out of character for any of them, as they’re all conservative catholics).

What I wouldn’t do is go gossiping with my other family members about it. If I had legitimate and genuine concerns I would speak to them directly because they’re grown woman who can make their own decisions, and regardless they of my opinions they can do what they like.

To be fair, I am only ten years older than my niece. I had a friend who was only 18 months older than his aunt.

Enough with your fantasies!

HambleTheDoll · 20/09/2026 09:30

If she’s redirecting to OF tiktok Will ban her so no worries he will see her. I’m very surprised it’s not removed her account anyway if it’s suggestive like that as because it’s Chinese owned they’re super strict on sexualised content.
