They've been coming for years, just not to Piddington. It was seen by the ultra liberal middle classes (including those in Piddington) to be humane and righteous whilst it happened in the poorest communities (like the one I live in), they continued to vote for it and silenced anyone that raised unchecked, mass immigration as an issue that needed to be addressed, as a vulgar, little racist.
The poorest communities have been ripped apart by the politics of the elite that have never before felt the sharp end of their moral posturing. Where I live young families find it impossible to find their children places in local schools, children can be in a classroom where the majority of kids don't speak English as a first language and a lot don't even speak English - how can anyone seriously suggest that situation is a net benefit to the existing community and not a total erosion of the already awful educational standard the poorest communities had to put up with?
You have to wait over a fortnight for a GP appointment, NHS dentistry is non existent and people cannot afford private treatment so they just live with the pain of untreated dental problems. Our local hospital is a death trap and a lot of the staff have very poor english, certainly too poor to understand and make themselves understood to vulnerable patients. When I worked there (in mental health) a good few years ago now, I watched a lady with dementia looking utterly terrified and bewildered as two nurses stood next to her and conversed merrily in their own language. A patient was diagnosed by a psychiatrist, who had a very poor command of English, as having schizophrenia because when describing her panic attacks she said that she knew she didn't have anything to be really scared of but the little voice in her head just shouted panic. That misdiagnosis put her in very real danger and she had a hell of a time trying to get it reversed.
I personally knew of four doctors locally (two in the hospital where I worked and two local GPs) that were found to have assaulted female patients. One of the GP's was a white British male, the other three were asian, muslim males.
People no longer know their neighbours, all this "get to know each other, melting pot crap" is great in Sesame Street but in reality it just doesn't happen. People have no desire or need to assimilate into the existing community, they have just built communities of their own, our approach to multiculturalism has meant that many haven't even needed to learn to speak the language. We had enough problems with poverty and crime before we imported double the existing population into an already overcrowded, underfunded crap hole.
Twenty years ago things were hard here but now it's like a battery farm, there are too many people crammed into the same area with absolutely no investment into the infrastructure. It's just insane to expect people to continue to absorb that kind of pressure without any discontent. The poorest have been told to suck it up for years, so I have very limited sympathy for the people of Piddington. My sympathy is for reserved for my elderly neighbour, who after working hard all her life, always paying her taxes and being a decent and productive member of society had to pull her own tooth out and suffer a terrible dental infection for weeks before finally getting it treated after sitting for over ten hours in excruciating pain in an A&E. But the liberal middle classes don't see her as a worthy enough cause for their sympathy.
Mass, unchecked immigration isn't going to stop any time soon so from this point onwards I want all prospective refugees and illegal migrants to be deposited en masse to the areas that actually voted for them. The only way people will stop voting for it to happen in other people's houses is if their vote means it happens in their own.
I will never vote labour again. Under ANY circumstances. Kemi has promise but honestly, I will vote for anyone that I believe has a serious plan to put an end to the current situation.
